Strategic Review

In this ever-changing environment, it is important to regularly monitor the effectiveness of your strategy.

CStrat conducts independent assessments of the business operations, based on the strategic foundations. This consists in understanding the big picture (vision and mission) and evaluate its translation into strategic objectives and initiatives, while assessing corporate alignment. It is therefore important to differentiate strategic reviews from strategic planning and operational reviews.

A strategic review encompasses

  • Assessment of the current strategic plan and ascertain concurrence with shareholder’s expectations,
  • Analysing the translation of the plan into strategic initiatives at all levels in the organisation,
  • Verifying organisational alignment,
  • Evaluating results against targets,
  • Determining changes in the internal and external environment, and
  • Formulating adjustments to be brought to the strategic plan.

Strategic alignment is the linking of an organisation’s structure and resources to the strategic objectives set. From the strategic objectives, department goals and KPIs are determined.
